The Association for Queer Anthropology invites self-nominations to fill four vacancies on the AQA Board beginning after the AAA Annual Meeting in 2023:

Candidate materials for the elected positions of Co-Chair and Treasurer include a biographical sketch, a platform statement (200 words), and an optional photograph. Materials are due to the AAA by February 15, 2023. Nominations Committee positions are appointed by the current Co-Chairs.
Position Descriptions
The Co-Chair has the overall responsibility for directing internal affairs of the AQA, for organizing activities in pursuit of its aims, and for dealing on behalf of the AQA with officials of the American Anthropological Association. The Co-Chair serves for two years, and then remains a third year on the board. Current Co-Chairs: Cage Hall (mccajor@earthlink.net) and Tamar Shirinian (tshirini@utk.edu)
The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining accurate and current financial records for the AQA and for preparing the annual financial report in consultation with the Co-Chairs. The treasurer serves a two-year term. Current Treasurer: Brian Horton (bhorton@brandeis.edu)
The Nominations Committee recruits new members to serve on the AQA Committees, as Officers, as Committee Chairs, and as AQA Co-Chairs, ensuring that the AQA Board is as diverse as possible and the membership is aware of opportunities to participate and join the Board. The Nominations Committee is appointed by the Co-Chairs, in consultation with outgoing Committee Chairs.
