Faculty Position in Anthropology of Islam and Muslim Societies
The Department of Anthropology at Stanford University invites applications for an open rank faculty position in the Anthropology of Islam and Muslim Societies. The successful candidate will be appointed in the Anthropology Department and is also expected to contribute to the Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies’ curricular and outreach efforts. Candidates should demonstrate interests that afford effective interactions with a broad range of colleagues and the ability to teach and mentor a diverse student body. Teaching responsibilities will be determined by the Department of Anthropology.
Applicants should provide a cover letter including a brief statement of research interests, a curriculum vitae including list of publications, and one recent writing sample.
