REOPENED: ONE YEAR VISITING POSITION – WOMEN’S, GENDER, AND SEXUALITY STUDIES

The Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies to begin in August 2017. The successful candidate will teach Introductory Women’s Gender, and Sexuality Studies, feminist methodologies, and an upper-level WGSS courses in the candidate’s specialty. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach in the areas of Transnational Feminism and/or Women of Color Feminism. The teaching load is 3-3, which will include advising senior Independent Study thesis projects. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or be ABD in Women’s/Gender/Sexuality/Feminist Studies (WGSFS) at the time of appointment, or hold a degree in another field with a graduate certificate or significant interdisciplinary training in WGSFS. Prior teaching is desirable and applicants should provide evidence of their ability to teach introductory and upper-level courses in WGSS. The College of Wooster enrolls a diverse student body (19% domestic students of color and 10% international students); applicants should demonstrate their ability to work with diverse student populations.
