Society for Queer Asian Studies Best Article Award

Established in 2016 as an affiliate of the Association for Asian Studies, the Society for Queer Asian Studies will present a Best Article Award in 2018.

The Society for Queer Asian Studies Best Article Award recognizes an outstanding article on non-normative, or “queer,” genders and sexualities in Asia in any discipline or multidisciplinary field published in English. It is awarded annually for articles published during the previous calendar year. For the 2018 award, articles or book chapters published between January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017 are eligible.

Submissions must be sent to the committee by email no later than 11:59 pm (Pacific time), 1 January 2018.
Winners will be announced at the Society for Queer Asian Studies annual meeting at the 2018 Association for Asian Studies conference in Washington, DC.
